GHD has a great opportunity for an Entry Level Environmental Field Technician to join our team in Borger Tx office . T his position is an integral part of our contamination assessment and remediation (CAR) business group and requires a diverse array of responsibilities. Working on a diverse range of projects this role is a hands on field position requiring travel and occasional overnight work throughout the area.

Working with an energetic and high performing team this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in (RESPONSIBILITIES):

• Inspection maintenance monitoring and sampling of environmental groundwater wells

• Ensure work is completed in a safe and compliant manner with respect to applicable OSHA GHD and client standards. Majority of work will be performed in a refinery environment.

• Generate litigation quality field notes and enter collected field data electronically to database programs
• Correspondence with certified laboratory and shipping of collected samples
• Perform site inspections and collection of assessment field data including soil surface water and air
• Operations and maintenance troubleshooting and oversight of remedial equipment including groundwater extraction systems soil vapor extraction dual phase extraction and related environmental remediation equipment
• Work directly with clients and contractors

What you will bring to the team (what they possess):

• GED or High School diploma

• Ability to perform field work in a refinery environment (i.e. wear respirator)

• Commitment to safety utilizing a behavior-based safety culture in all aspects of the job
• Strong mechanical electrical and computer aptitude
• Ability to work extended hours and travel out of town

• Ability to analyze field readings data and operating parameters to optimize system operations
