Job Description

As a Press Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Press Operator. This position involves duties similar to general labor and production work, such as changing plates and inks, assisting in job order changes, and conducting quality checks. Quality checks require both visual inspection and precise measurement to ensure products meet specifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Press Operator with daily tasks.
• Change plates and inks as needed.
• Help with job order changes.
• Conduct visual and measurement-based quality checks.
• Ensure all products meet specified standards.

Essential Skills

• Experience as an operator.
• Minimum of 2 years work history at one company (manufacturing experience preferred).
• Proficiency in manufacturing or assembly work.
• Ability to use hand tools and a tape measure effectively.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience as a machine operator.
• Familiarity with general production processes.

Work Environment

The work schedule includes TFS (Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and every other Sunday) from 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a 6% shift premium, and WTF (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and every other Saturday) from 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM with an 8% shift premium. The printing area can be loud and hot during the summer, with a faint ink smell that becomes unnoticeable with time. Steel toe shoes are optional but acceptable. Safety is a top priority, with strict rules to protect employees and immediate action taken on any violations. The work schedule alternates between 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $44928.00 - $44928.00/yr.
