Inspector

Pay Range: $29-34
What You Will Do:
Use various measurement tools (ex. micrometers, calipers, Optical Comparator, dial indicators, etc.) and other equipment to verify product dimensions with precision and validate quality compliance against appropriate specifications.
Perform inspection against blueprint and/or job instruction sheets to validate compliance of as-received, in-process, and completed/final components and assemblies.
Perform first article inspection in accordance with AS9102
Demonstrate proper use and maintenance of gages and inspection equipment
Document inspection results and maintain detailed records
Identify and report defects, deviations, variances and non-conformities in the appropriate system(s)
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues
Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action processes
Perform simple mathematical computations to determine pass/fail results based on allowed tolerance.
Perform administrative tasks associated with file management and material control
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality
Manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/ technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience OR BA/BS degree in a related field of study with a minimum of 3 years of experience.

Ability to pass visual acuity and color vision tests
Proficiency with blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation
Proficiency with precision measuring equipment
Basic Computer skills
Basic Shop Math
