Job Summary
We are seeking a Project Manager to support mechanical construction projects based out of Pewaukee, WI, with work connected to job sites throughout the Milwaukee area and surrounding region. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for a construction professional who enjoys coordinating people, schedules, documentation, budgets, and customer expectations to help deliver successful HVAC and mechanical projects.
The Project Manager will work under division leadership and partner closely with field teams, customers, vendors, and internal departments to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. This role offers strong long-term career potential, exposure to major construction projects, and the opportunity to grow within a collaborative mechanical construction environment.
Candidates with 3 to 5 years of construction experience are encouraged to apply, including professionals looking to transition from field work into project management. Entry-level assistant project management candidates, new graduates with related training, and experienced mechanical project managers may also be considered based on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Review assigned project details including contract specifications, scope, terms, alternates, estimated costs, and planned installation methods.
- Prepare, communicate, and maintain project documentation such as equipment submittals, RFI logs, change orders, and project records.
- Manage project contracts, coordinate job labor, and support successful installation of HVAC and mechanical construction projects.
- Monitor project financial performance, budgets, costs, schedules, and overall project progress.
- Coordinate with customers, field teams, vendors, and internal divisions to ensure safety, quality, and customer expectations are met.
- Identify potential new business opportunities through customer relationships and knowledge of customer systems.
Compensation and Benefits
- Direct Hire opportunity.
- Salary range: $60,000 to $110,000 per year.
- Additional salary note: HVAC Mechanical Project Manager roles may range from $60,000 to $140,000 depending on experience.
- Work location: Corporate headquarters in Pewaukee, WI, with job site work including major projects in downtown Milwaukee and north of Milwaukee.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Manage HVAC and mechanical construction projects from preparation through installation and closeout.
- Coordinate labor, documentation, customer communication, and project requirements.
- Monitor project financials, schedules, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and quality expectations.
- Support multi-division coordination on larger construction projects.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in a construction environment preferred for Project Manager level roles.
- Driver’s license required.
- Experience with HVAC, mechanical construction, commercial construction, project coordination, field operations, or related project support.
- Ability to read and understand project scopes, contract specifications, installation plans, and construction documentation.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and project stakeholders.
- Effective communication skills for working with customers, field teams, vendors, and internal leadership.
- Ability to move throughout office, construction site, and general outdoor environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in HVAC mechanical project management, assistant project management, project engineering, estimating, or field supervision.
- Background supporting large commercial construction projects.
- Field-to-office transition experience or hands-on mechanical construction experience.
- Familiarity with submittals, RFIs, change orders, project cost tracking, and construction safety expectations.
- New graduates with related construction management, mechanical systems, or building trades education may be considered for assistant project management opportunities.
