Job Description

Salary: $160,000 - 225,000 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in a STEM discipline or 8+ years of network security experience in lieu of a degree
• Over 5 years of network security expertise
• Minimum of 3 years experience securing networks, IT infrastructure, applications, endpoints, and/or APIs
• In-depth knowledge of firewalls (Palo Alto and Juniper) and their functionalities
• Experience configuring intricate eBGP fabrics and designing complex multi-path networks
• Understanding of switch/router ACLs and network access control solutions
• Proficiency with IPSec and TLS based VPNs
• Familiarity with web application firewalls and email security solutions
• Experience with logging and alerting using SIEMs
• Knowledge of networking protocols and the OSI model
• Proven ability to test and implement changes in a live production environment
• Strong aptitude for learning new technologies and systems
• Excellent self-management and time-organization skills
• Superior written and verbal communication capabilities

• Act as the primary authority for Layer 3 networking on firewalls
• Design, configure, and manage intricate networks for Mission, factory, and corporate uses
• Offer expertise in network security, firewalls, and industry best practices
• Oversee firewall configurations within the SpaceX enterprise based on operational demands
• Analyze challenges and develop innovative network solutions to enhance security
• Collaborate with various SpaceX teams to ascertain functional requirements and create secure architectures
• Communicate security practices and policies effectively to all stakeholders
