Salary: $230,000 - 290,000 per year Requirements:
- Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
- Security+ certification and at least one platform-specific security credential such as PCNSE, Fortinet NSE, or a Cisco security certification.
- DoD 8140 certification relevant to the 441 Network Operations Specialist role, such as Network+, Security+, Cloud+, SSCP, CASP+, CISSP, or CCNP Security.
- Over 10 years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on enterprise network security infrastructure.
- Proven expertise in designing, implementing, and managing next-generation firewalls, VPN solutions, intrusion prevention systems, and network access control platforms.
- Hands-on experience securing network perimeters and internal segments, including policy design and threat mitigation strategies.
- Operational experience in deploying and managing firewall rule sets, VPN tunnels, and security policies in mission-critical settings.
- Proficient in using at least one enterprise security platform, such as Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, or Cisco technologies.
- Direct experience with Cisco ISE and Cisco ASA environments.
- Familiarity with IDS and IPS solutions and endpoint configuration hardening in secure environments.
- Experience with Zero Trust architectures and identity-centric networking.
- Ability to begin contributing immediately in a high-stakes operational environment.
- Willingness to act as critical personnel during emergencies or operational interruptions.
Responsibilities: - Design, deploy, and manage firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and NAC solutions in essential operational environments.
- Enhance security at network perimeters and within internal segments using multi-layered defense strategies.
- Act promptly in response to security incidents, vulnerabilities, and urgent operational demands.
- Support efforts for continuous security enhancements and improvements of network infrastructure.
- Engage in Agile processes, technical planning, and discussions related to security risks.
- Articulate security impacts, risks, and mitigation strategies effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Propose and implement improvements in security architecture and operations.
- Act as a hands-on subject matter expert, able to contribute from day one with little onboarding required.
- Foster a high level of trust and confidence with clients through dependable and secure service delivery.
- Employ creativity and sound engineering judgment to create practical, mission-driven security solutions.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and management of advanced firewalls, VPN systems, IPS, and network access control technologies.
- Secure network perimeters and internal segments through effective policy design, segmentation, and threat mitigation.
- Configure and manage firewall rules, VPN connections, and security policies in critical environments.
- Operate at least one enterprise-level security platform such as Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, or Cisco technologies.
- Manage Cisco ISE and Cisco ASA environments effectively.
- Deploy and oversee IDS and IPS solutions, alongside endpoint configuration hardening in secure settings.
