Oxford High School is seeking a skilled and dedicated English Teacher to join our academic team for the upcoming 2026-2027 School Year. We are looking for an educator who is committed to fostering student growth within a supportive and collaborative school environment.

Key Responsibilities: (list not all inclusive)

• Create a structured and engaging classroom environment that encourages student learning and development.
• Deliver instruction in literature writing and language arts that aligns with curriculum standards.
• Collaborate with colleagues and staff to support student achievement and school initiatives.
• Communicate effectively with students parents and staff regarding student progress and classroom expectations.
• Complete all required administrative duties including grading and reporting on student performance.
• Think flexibly and adapt to the specific instructional needs of students
• Collect data to measure impact on instruction and student achievement
• Work in an inclusionary/co-teaching model

Qualifications:

• Valid Connecticut English (015) certification.
• Experience teaching at the high school level preferred.
• Strong effective communication organizational and classroom management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a professional team environment. Proactive team player.
• Dedication to providing a positive and meaningful learning experience for students.
