Responsible for primary planning, oversight and management of assigned fundraising and marketing/public relations events from initiation to conclusion.
Develop creative, innovative, engaging events to meet designated objectives (fundraising, donor recognition, community engagement, etc.). Expand and improve design of existing events and recommend new initiatives.
Work independently to manage all facets of event planning including timeline, vendor negotiation, program/speakers, venue, task lists, volunteer and staff engagement, communication plans, budgets, etc.
Incorporate event management and fundraising best practices to ensure maximum success.
Communicate clearly and engage with internal partners - program operations, marketing/communications, senior leadership and others - to ensure successful event implementation.
Support post-event activities including gift processing, acknowledgements and reporting as necessary.
Maintain an annual event calendar with deadlines for all fundraising and public relations events.
Maintain detailed event and financial records to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
Maintain trainings as required and requested
Demonstrate knowledge of emergency procedures and assist in crisis situations
Demonstrate knowledge of and comply with all agency policies and procedures
Complete all other relevant responsibilities assigned by the supervisor
Driving and travel may be required
