Security Management, Inc. (SMI) is currently seeking qualified, professional, and reliable candidates to fill two open positions at the Port of Miami. These roles require individuals who are safety-focused, dependable, and capable of working in a dynamic port environment.

Position: Patrol Officer / Shift Supervisor.

Location: Port of Miami.
Schedule: Wednesday - Sunday (Afternoon Shift).
Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour.

Job Summary:

This dual-role position combines standard patrol duties with leadership responsibilities. The candidate will perform as a Patrol Officer for three days each week and serve as Acting Shift Supervisor on weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine patrols to ensure safety and security.
• Monitor premises and report suspicious activities.
• Enforce site rules and regulations.
• Prepare incident and daily activity reports.
• Supervise and support security staff during assigned supervisory shifts.
• Ensure proper coverage and adherence to post orders.

Requirements:

• Valid Class “D” Security License.
• Valid TWIC Card.
• Prior security experience preferred (supervisory experience a plus).
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and report-writing abilities.
• Reliable transportation.
