**Job Title: Ultrasound Sonographer**
**Job Description:**
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Ultrasound Sonographer to join our healthcare team full time. The ideal candidate will possess a strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care. As an Ultrasound Sonographer, you will play a crucial role in performing diagnostic imaging to assist medical professionals in making informed decisions.
**Responsibilities:**
- Conduct ultrasound examinations to obtain images and information for the diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions in patients.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to interpret ultrasound findings and provide accurate reports.
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the procedure, positioning the patient, and ensuring patient comfort.
- Maintain ultrasound equipment and ensure it is functioning correctly; report any issues to the appropriate department.
- Keep accurate and detailed patient records and update information in the hospital's database.
- Stay current with advancements in ultrasound technology and procedures to provide the best possible care.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Demonstrate empathy and provide support to patients throughout the ultrasound process.
**Qualifications:**
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field.
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification required.
- Registered Vascular Technologist certification required.
- Proven experience as an Ultrasound Sonographer or similar role.
- Strong technical skills and the ability to operate ultrasound equipment efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in imaging and reporting.
- Ability to remain calm and compassionate under pressure.
