Upholstery Job Posting

Position Overview :

Responsible for creating repairing and installing upholstery for boat interiors. Your role is crucial in ensuring the comfort and aesthetic appeal of our vessels. Design fabricate and repair upholstery including seats cushions headliners and other fabric components.

• Create repair and install upholstery for various marine vessels including seats cushions headliners and other fabric components.
• Measure cut and work with materials such as vinyl leather fabric and foam to fit specific areas accurately.
• Use tools like sewing machines staplers and scissors to install new upholstery ensuring a secure and precise fit.
• Assess the condition of existing upholstery and develop plans for repair or replacement. Perform maintenance on upholstery equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Diversity of thought and experiences is fundamental when imagining the unimaginable. Certain skillsets/experiences are necessary; however others can be developed along the way.

Required Qualifications:

• Ability to diagnose and repair electrical issues.
• Knowledge of programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) for automating and controlling electrical systems.
• Understanding of power distribution systems and their maintenance
• Attention to detail.
• Good Communication
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and make necessary adjustments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Extensive experience in upholstery or a related field.
• Certifications in upholstery sewing or related technical skills.
• In-depth knowledge of various upholstery materials including vinyl leather fabric and foam and their appropriate uses.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality craftsmanship.

Maintain cleanliness ensure safety compliance to include PPE adherence safety policy adherence and safe behaviors and conditions. Must possess the desire and ambition to always work safely and report all hazards to their supervisor immediately.

Must understand basic terminology such as OSHA DEP and other regulatory agencies.

Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment where designated including but not limited to safety glasses hearing protection gloves etc.

The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $23.18 hourly . The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills relevant experience business needs and geographic location. In addition to base pay this position may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus or short-term incentive program . This position is also eligible for an award target as part of Brunswicks long-term incentive program.
